About Arundel

Our picturesque historic market town is situated on the river Arun between the South Downs National Park and the Sussex coast. The impressive skyline is dominated by Arundel Castle, ancestral home to the Duke of Norfolk, the Cathedral of Our Lady and St Philip Howard and St Nicholas Parish Church.

You’ll find a fantastic choice of pubs, cafes and restaurants in Arundel as well as an interesting selection of art galleries and independent shops selling antiques, jewellery, books, clothing, flowers and gifts.

Arundel Farmer’s Market is held on the 3rd Saturday of every month.

We recommend you use the VisitArundel website to check for other events throughout the year, including the ever-popular Arundel Festival of the Arts and Gallery Trail held in August each year as well as events held at Arundel Castle. You will also find details of local walks, hikes and cycle routes.
