About Us

Housed in a beautiful 17^th Century listed building, there has been a food and wine business on this site since at least 1870. From Dentons Grocery Store in the late 19^th Century to Pallant Wines a hundred years later, this beautiful building has seen many owners and custodians.

The current ‘custodian’ Katherine bought Pallant in May 2024. She traded in a career in Insight and Strategy to follow her passion – food and wine. A judge for the Guild of Fine Food’s Great Taste Awards for over ten years and with a selection of wine qualifications under her belt, she feels very much at home!

Katherine is ably supported by a wonderful team. Knowledgeable and welcoming, many of them have worked here for over 20 years and are an invaluable part of the business – and local community.
